Abstract

There is no significance freshwater animals are source of bioactive compounds. Freshwater organisms are totally unpredictable for the study of natural product chemistry of the world wild biodiversity, so Barytelphusa cunicularis is major species from freshwater biodiversity, this can be source of the new substances and can be considered largest source of natural compounds and will be use functional constituent in food and pharmaceutical field. This review is attention toward information about the food perspective and medicinal profile of the freshwater crab concentrating on their developing use and human beneficiary.
