Abstract

In our body there are many tisues which are rich in lipids such as Meda Dhatu, Majja Dhatu and Vasa, among the above tissues, Meda Dhatu has significant role in developing many metabolic disorders like overweight, obesity, hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis etc. Ancient scholars has beautifully explained the Meda Dhatu in their own way but the detail description of Meda Dhatu is scatterd here and there. The present article is the attempt to assemble these references of Meda Dhatu and lipids from Ayurvedic and Modern text and find out a commen conclusion.
