Abstract

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-COV-2) is the pathogen responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in the global healthcare crisis, and which leads to strained global health care resources, since the era of the influenza pandemic of 1918. It has a cataclysmal effect on the world's demographic resulting in more than 2.9 million deaths worldwide. The age group above 40's or ‘50s endure already persisting diseases like diabetes, blood pressure hepatotoxicity, etc. After Covid 19 they also are in distress of other long Covid symptoms due to interactions of multiple medications, also young people suffer from mild to severe post-Covid symptoms. Long Covid and post-Covid syndrome have been evaluated in the review article, the review article also provides current literature on post-COVID-19 its pathophysiology and its organ-specific sequelae. This systematic review found that even though many patients have recovered, they still face a condition known as "Long Covid syndromeLong Haulers Post Covid". The article mentions the symptoms to identify the post-Covid syndrome which can last about 4 to 12 weeks after getting recovered, the most common symptoms involve functional mobility impairments, pulmonary abnormalities, and mental health care disorders.
