A REVIEW ARTICLE: HERBAL TOOTH TABLETS FORMULATION.

. Abstract The oral dental care category with the use of herbal ingredients is gaining more and more attention day by day in today’s era. Consumers widely prefer herbal-based formulations over synthetic chemical-based and are looking for effective products under the herbal category and preventing other dental issues to which this generation is prone. In the current review, the article author proposed herbal natural tooth tabs which can be used as an alternative to chemical-based toothpaste and gel toothpaste. The use of the proposed product is by chewing a tablet and followed by brushing. The unique formula can deliver all desired benefits without changing the user experience, so consumers do not have to change their daily habits. The current review article aims to propose a formula by using herbal natural actives like Maricha (Piper nigrum), Lavanga (Syzygium aromaticum), Majuphala (Quercus infectoria), Bakul (Mimusops elengi), Menthol (Mentha piperita), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Gairika (Red Ochre) and Karpoora (Cinnamomum camphora). As per ayurvedic textbooks and references, all the above herbal actives used in the proposed formulation are proven to deliver benefits like gingivitis, Tooth decay prevention, Plaque, Enamel protection, and for the elimination of Bad breath.
