A REVIEW ON: HERBAL REMEDIES FOR TREATMENT OF MOUTH ULCER

. Abstract One of the most prevalent ulcerative diseases, aphthous stomatitis is primarily associated with the oral mucosa and is characterised by excruciatingly painful, recurrent, single, multiple ulcers in the upper throat and oral cavity. Both the general public and medical professionals refer to the condition by a variety of other names, including canker sores, cold sores, recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS), and recurrent aphthous ulcers (RAU). Eating, drinking, and swallowing are all impacted during the active disease phase, which lowers quality of life. Analgesics, antibiotics, and topical steroid application are the only medications used to treat symptoms in most cases. These over-the-counter medications can occasionally have serious negative effects. A safer and more effective alternative to pharmaceutical medications is herbal medicine. The purpose of this article is to examine the most popular herbal remedies and determine how well they work to heal mouth ulcers.
