FORMULATION DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION ORAL FLUOROQUINOLONE ANTIBIOTICS SUSPENSION WITH IMPROVED TASTE
Priti Prabhakar Deshmukh*, Vaibhav Changediya and Vikas Rajurkar
. Abstract One of the most important classes of antibacterial agents still in use today are fluoroquinolones. The fundamental issue with the therapeutic use of these medications is thought to be the establishment of more virulent and resistant bacterial strains caused by the development of either altered DNA-binding proteins or efflux pump mechanisms for pharmaceuticals. A wider range of activity, including activity against anaerobic organisms, was obtained by designing new fluoroquinolone derivatives, primarily with various substituents at C-7 to withstand these resistant bacterial strains. Fluoroquinolones can be conjugated with other chemicals, including 1,2,4-triazoles, alkyl oximes, flavonoids, aryl furans, benzofur-oxans, metronidazoles, or even other antibiotics like neomycin-B, to create derivatives with greater activity and resistance than the traditional fluoroquinolone agents. a hydroxamic acid moiety is added. The formulation of oral dosage forms takes into account aspects including flavour, aroma, and texture. The quality of the product and patient compliance are now both influenced by taste. An old saying that has completely changed is, "The worse the taste of the medicine, the better the cure." the ability to disguise the taste of objectionable medicines due to the fact that the majority of them are taken orally. An effort is being made for the development of several taste-masking techniques that improve and good the qualities of the dose form Compliance from patients is obtained. This review's primary goal is to investigate various approaches for obnoxious drug taste masking, evaluation, applications, and current taste masking trends technologies.[1] Keywords: Fluoroquinolone, Fluoroquinolones Antibiotics, Suspension.
