Abstract

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY STUDIES OF SOME SUBSTITUTED PYRRAZOLINES

Abstract

A number of substituted Chalcones were synthesized from 2-acetyl pyrrole by condensing with various substituted benzaldehydes in presence of NaOH as a base. Pyrazolines derivatives were prepared by the condensation of chalcones with Hydrazine. Hydrate /Phenyl hydrazine in the presence of Glacial Acetic acid as the catalyst. The structures of the final synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR & MASS spectra. Compounds have been evaluated for antifungal, and antimicrobial activity.
