AYURVEDIC APPROACH TOWARDS LEAKY GUT WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO AMA

. Abstract Ayurveda is a logical science founded on fundamental ideas. The science of Ayurveda does not solely rely on a patient's symptomatology; rather, it believes in a through examination to determine the underlying reason of the patient's illness prior to recommending any therapeutic measures. The patient's Ayu should be examined by the physician. To acquire the right therapeutic impact, the vyadhi, rutu, agni, vaya, deha, bala, satva, prakruti, beshaja, and desh should be assessed if the patient has a long lifespan. Every single person in the world is uniquely diverse in terms of their prakruti, dosha, agni, koshta, and other characteristics. Leaky gut syndrome is a digestive condition that affects the lining of the intestinal walls. In leaky gut syndrome gaps in the intestinal walls allow bacteria and other toxins to pass into the bloodstream. Many doctors and other healthcare professionals do not recognize leaky gut syndrome (LGS) as diagnosable condition, However current scientific evidence suggests leaky gut may contributes to a range of medical conditions. Acharyas were aware of the limitations of mathematical calculation concerning to biophysiology, while dealing with the a living body. So they clearly stated the dosage totally depends on’Agni’ koshta, vyadhi, kala, bala, vaya, desha of the individual, so individuality must be considered. Living body is product of nutrition. Dosha, dhatu and mala are the shareera dravyas where source is ahara dravya. Ingested food undergoes conversion at different levels, till they ultimately become tissues of the body which is brought about by the ‘agni’. Ama is a unique concept in Ayurveda. IMPAIRED AGNI--- IMPAIRED DIGESTION AND METABOLISM-- INCOMPLETELY PROCESSED FOOD COMPONENTS AND METABOLITES IN THE SYSTEM-THREAT TO HEALTH-AMA It has capacity to vitilate the doshas, there by disturbing homeostasis. It is considered as one of the important vyadhi ghatak responsible for the initation of the diseases. Hence ‘Amaya’ is rightly stated for vyadhi, which denotes the potentiality of ama. Ayurveda considers Leaky Gut an indication of poor agni(digestive fire) when the fire is low, digestion and elimination are sluggish creating a breeding ground for host of health issues from candida to allergies and everything in between.
