Abstract
Plants have been utilised as therapies for thousands of years, based on
experience and folk cures, and their function in the treatment of
moderate and chronic diseases continues to attract widespread
attention. During these periods, there has been a greater emphasis on
plant study around the world, and a substantial body of data has
developed to demonstrate the great potential of medicinal plants
employed in diverse traditional medical systems. Centella asiatica is
one of the most important medicinal herbs used in Ayurvedic
medicine. Brahmi/gotu kola (Centella asiatica) is one of the most wellknown
Ayurvedic mental rejuvenators. It has a long and notable
history of usage for improving cognition and mental sharpness, as well as calming the
nervous system. It relaxes the nervous system, cleanses the blood, and promotes good skin
and hair, and has a long and amazing history of usage for increasing cognition and mental
sharpness. Centella asiatica (often known in India as Brahmi) is a critical medical medicine
with important therapeutic qualities, particularly in the area of cognition. It is well-known as
a brain tonic that aids in the growth of the cerebrum. This plant is used to cure a variety of
skin problems, including leprosy, lupus, varicose ulcers, eczema, psoriasis, diarrhoea, fever,
amenorrhea, illnesses of the female genitourinary system, as well as anxiety and cognitive
impairment. The current research examines Brahmi (Centella asiatica) as a medicinal plant
and discusses its advantages for a variety of ailments.
