CLINICAL EFFICACY OF SWADRASTRA TAIL KATIBASTI IN KATISHOOL W.S.R. TO LUMBAR SPONDYLOSIS

Abstract

Now a days Low back pain affects approximately 80-90% of adults during some points of their life traveling issues & 10% of this is because of lumbar spondylosis(Katishool). It is degenerative condition affects the discs, vertebral bodies, or associated joints of the lumbar spine. In the current study, assessment of Swadrastra tail in the management of Katishool with special reference to Lumbar spondylosis has been attempted 5 patients of either sex in the age between 30 to 45 years having signs & symptoms of Lumbar spondylosis were selected & admistered Katibasti for a period of 8 days. A highly significant result was observed & improvement in cardinal symptoms of Katishool was observed. It also provided highly significant results in improving the range of movements & pain intensity. this procedure appears to provide good clinical improvement in pacifying pure vataja or vata kaphaja type of Katishool.
