Abstract

Infertility is a major cause of concern in the present generation among the reproductive age group due to undesirable lifestyle changes. This is the case report of a couple who had not been able to continue pregnancy after 7-8 weeks of gestation and underwent two missed abortions. The wife was diagnosed with Scleroderma before one year and was on regular follow up and medications. They underwent conventional treatment including harmonal therapy but treatment went unsuccessful. The objective of the present treatment included ayurvedic management ensuring regular ovulation, good endometrium formation and thereby helping to develop healthy pregnancy and successful childbirth. Treatment plan included both Shaman(Purification) and Shodhan (Mitigation) therapies and some pathyapathyas. During treatment, she lost 5 kg weight and gained ovulation at proper time. The outcome of the ayurvedic intervention was the natural conception of the patient within 1 year of treatment and she delivered healthy male child of weight 3.2 kg on 2nd November 2022.
