MICROSPHERE: A NOVEL DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM AND ITS APPLICATION

. Abstract One innovative drug delivery method that offers a therapeutic improvement over traditional or immediate-release single-unit dose forms is the use of microspheres. Microspheres are solid objects with diameters between 1 and 1000 nm. There are various varieties of microspheres that can be identified. These microspheres are manufactured and either directly compressed or filled with firm gelatin. The microsphere was prepared and filled with either hard gelatin or direct compression. When compared to conventional dosage forms, the microspheres that are made using different techniques have varying efficacy and methods of administration. Different approaches that analyse the quality of the microsphere will be used to evaluate the microsphere. In the future, the microsphere will play a key role in the delivery of new drugs.
