Abstract

Amlapitta is one of the most common diseases affecting society today as a result of incompatible eating habits and activity. Only a few references regarding Amlapitta may be found in Ayurvedic classics. The detailed description about Amlapitta was first found in Kashyap Samhita. A group of medicines and pathyas are discussed in Kashyap Samhita. The purpose of this review was to look into a key component of Amlapitta & its management as mentioned in Kashyap Samhita which can help us better understand the Nidan, Samprapti, & Chikitsa of this disease.
