AYURVEDIC AAHAR IN MORDEN ERA, RULES AND REGULATIONS – A REVIEW

. Abstract Ahara is the most important factor in life. Health as well as disease is dependent on ahara. Proper diet, taken in proper manner can lead to better health or else can lead to diseases. Food is the source of life, strength, complexion and Oja of living beings. Ahara is said to be Prana (vital energy) of the living beings. It supports body and continues elegant with strength, complexion, proficient, satisfaction and intelligence. That‟s why, Ahara is at prime place among three pillars of life. These requirements can be fulfilled by Ayurveda as it describes about many varieties of Ahara along with different palatable forms. In today's modern era, in view of the increasing demand for Ayurveda aahar, safety rules and quality control related to Ayurveda aahar are very important. Food Safety and Standard Regulations have been made for Ayurveda aahar by the government authority in India. And if these regulations are not followed, a provision has been made for related action. Ahara is the most essential requirements of all living beings. Nowadays there is increased prevalence of life style disorders, in which faulty dietary habits play an important role.
