ANALYZING THE COMPATIBILITY OF TWAK SHARIR WITH CONTEMPORARY SCIENCE

. Abstract The skin is the largest and most prominent organ of the body, covering two square meters and making up 16–20% of total body weight. It is a reflection of the body's interior structure rather than just a protective covering. One of the five sense organs (Dnyanendriyas), Twacha (skin) covers the entire body and aids in determining the touch sensation (Sparsh dnyan). According to their roles and the diseases associated with them, the layers of the body were very precisely described by the Acharyas. According to cell division, modern health science has a detailed description of skin. There has also been an attempt to link the layers of skin to Twacha. It is essential to thoroughly grasp the structure and function of skin in order to comprehend any skin condition (Twacha Roga). There are many different perspectives and enigmatic ideas regarding Twacha in Ayurveda, all of which can be helpful in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of a variety of illnesses.
