SUCCESSFUL SURGICAL REPAIR OF A NEWBORN WITH CYANOTIC CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE WHO CRASHED IN EMERGENCY

. Abstract Arterial Switch Operation (ASO) is the standard treatment for Transposition of Great Arteries (TGA). Earlier detection of TGA and their timely management helps to reduce the mortality in newborns. Inter hospital transfer of newborns with critical congenital heart disease should be well co-ordinated for best outcome. This study describes a case report of a critically sick 3 days old male baby with TGA who crashed in our emergency on presentation.
