CLINICAL STUDY TO EVALUATE THE EFFECT OF BHOOMYAMALAKI (Phyllanthus niruri Linn.) IN PANDU

. Abstract Dravyaguna is part and parcel of Ayurveda that describes the properties and actions of Ayurvedic raw drugs. It includes scientific information mainly of medicinal plants, including their nature, nomenclature, properties and pharmacological actions. This science focuses on pharmacognosy, pharmacology, therapeutic utility and the relationship between Ayurveda drugs actions and properties According to Ayurveda, the physio-chemical properties of Ayurvedic medications are based on the principles of Panchmahabhuta and Tridosha. Panchmahabhuta - Akasha, Vayu, Agni, Jala, and Prithivi are actuated in the form of Tridosha in the body which in turn govern physiological functions of the body. When the Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) are in balance, normal physiological activities of the body are observed, but pathological events occur when the Tridosha are out of balance.
