JUDICIOUS PRACTICE OF YOGA IN THE THIRD TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY AND ITS EFFECT ON LABOR AND NEONATAL OUTCOMES

. Abstract Yoga is a holistic practice which yields the stances of asanas, pranayama, dharna and dhyana. When combined along with proper diet and regimen it can reduce the risk of preterm delivery, cesarean section and foetal death, especially in the third trimester. It calms the mind and prepares a woman physiologically and psychologically for labour.
