Abstract

Ayurveda is one of oldest health science in the world. It is based and worked on different fundamental principles like Tridosha, Triskandh, Panchmahabhut, Saptdhatu etc. The main goal of Ayurveda to attain purushartha chatushtaya (supreme object’s of life) Dharma (righteous), Artha (wealth), Kama (Gratification) and Moksha (salvation). A person is Able to attain these goals only if he is healthy (swastha). Ayurveda give a number of Siddhant which can help in maintenance of health Triskandh is one of them. Triskandh involve Hetu (cause), Linga (symptoms), and Aushadh (medicine). Understanding of Triskanda siddhaant is important because almost all the matter and concepts of Ayurveda is included in concept of Triskandh, it includes finding out the cause of the disease, do the diagnosis and treat the disease. Triskandh is also term as trisotra.
