THE CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF TRINA DHANYA (MILLETS) AND THEIR RELATED HEALTH BENEFITS

Abstract

Millets are domestic grains of many countries including India and can be alternate chief food. Millets are still used as additional food grains in backwards and less developed areas of the country. Millets have been widely used in remedial in Ayurveda classics. The Trina Dhanya is a group of small seeded cereals used as mortal food since long time. Futhermore because of their low carbohydrate-fiber level, they can also be useful in treating numerous lifestyle disorders. As Millets are full package of nutrients, they have multitudinous health benefits. Millets are also „nutritive supplements‟ that have phytochemicals and anti nutrients that are essential for maintaining good health and having a significant impact on the treatment of chronic diseases. Ayurveda has described Trina Dhanya (millets) with their specific benefits, based on which their indications and contraindications can be inspired. This analysis may help in understanding the right usage of Trina Danya (millets) to mileage their health benefits.
