AN AYURVEDIC REVIEW ON VATARAKTA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO GOUT

. Abstract Vatarakta, a common metabolic disorder. Vatarakta is included in Avruta vata concept, where vata Dosha gets covered by Rakta Dhatu. Pain, swelling, inflammation and inability to perform day to day activities along with raised uric acid levels are some of the sign and symptoms Vatarakta. Despite major advances in treatment of gout, many patients with gout are not properly controlled.
