Abstract

Stannyavruddhi[1] is most common problem for lactating mothers in the world wide. Kapha is prime dosh and rasa is prime dushya in the causation of stannyavruddhi. It causes tender leaking breasts, sore infected nipples, plugged ducts and mastitis in mothers.[2] Case described in present paper is 34 year old female patient presenting complaints of excessive milk leaking with painful breast since 1 month. She was complaining about excessive milk leakage from breast even after one month of allopathic medications and also behavioral interventions such as block feeding. she was sucessfully treated with ayurvedic medicine. she was treated with Gomutra haritaki.
