. Abstract Mucormycosis has emerged as an important opportunistic infection, especially in severely immunosuppresent host. The evolving epidemiology, immunopathogenesis, molecular virulence studies early diagnosis, and pittfalls in desining clinical studies of mucormycosis discuss in this revieve article Mucormycosis (zygomycosis) has emerged as a formedable infection in as incresing population of patient with various forms of cronic and severalsimmunosuppresant. An explosion in the number of published stydies on this devastating opportunistic fungal infection over the past decade reflect the ever increasing avareness by the infection disease community.
