Abstract

AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF OLIGOHYDRAMNIOS WITH KSHEERAPANA & YASTIMADHU SIDDHA MATRABASTI - A CASE REPORT

Abstract

In Ayurveda there is an effective treatment for the oligohydramnios. The oligohydramnios correlates with Nagodara or Upvishtaka it is a condtion in which reduses the amount of liquor. In the current scenario, this condition is normal or seen by everyday practice in Prasuti Tantra. in our classical texts, many drugs and formulation are written. Those help increase the amount of amniotic fluid by their Guna and some are from their Prabhava. In this contest, we use Somya Sheeta Dravya for this type of cases. Acharya Sushruta mentioned some yoga in this condition especially Basti for nourishment of the Garbha. And specific diet regimen as well as a daily regimen to the prevention of Grabha from Grabha-Upghatkar Bhava. In Charaka Samhita Acharya’s says to prevent Grabha from Rajnichara (bacterial infection). In this case, we plan for treatment Matrabasti and Ksheerpana to increase the ammonitic fluid and decrease the NMR. In this case we found tremendous results this is encourage us to treat a similar patient in future.
