RECENT ADVANCES IN PSORIASIS DISEASE
Mahak*, Anupama Kumari and Bandana Sharma
. Abstract Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own healthy cells and tissue and depends on factors such as extent and distribution of skin affected, such as psoriatic arthritis. Disease seriousness varies widely. Common to severe psoriasis usually occurs when the cutaneous involvement is widespread, covering more than 10% of the body surface, and when sensitive areas like the face, genitalia, folds or nails are affected. Certain types of biologicals are currently approved for the treatment of psoriasis, such as TNF-α (etanercept) and IL-12/23 (ustekinumab). These therapies can be used to reduce the symptoms of psoriasis and help people manage their condition. Keywords: . [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
