*Dr. Deepali Sharma, Dr. Seeta Rajoria and Dr. Teena Verma
. Abstract The emergence of new diseases and a decline in immunity have forced people to take their health seriously. The current situation calls for the modification and adaptation of lifestyles to the climate. The magnificent art of Ayurveda places great emphasis on maintaining health and preventing illness before it occurs.[1] Aacharya have described Ritucharya (seasonal regimen) and Dincharya (daily regimen) to accomplish this goal. By adhering to the correct Ritucharya as outlined in the older Ayurvedic scriptures, one might cherish good health. The changing climate has a significant impact on all living things, but particularly on people. In the most important literature of Ayurveda, the characteristics of all Ritus, as well as dietary and behavioural modification according to changing Ritu, have been extensively explained. Here, the Sharad Ritu which is one of the Ritu’s of Dakshinayan is overviewed so as to present the dietary and behavioral regimen in this season. The Sharad Ritu marks the transition from summers to winters. The hot sun rays in Sharad Ritu exaggerates the Pitta Dosha which is already accumulated in body in the Varsha Ritu. So dietary and habitual modifications which are Pitta Shamak in nature should be followed in Sharad Ritu along with the Shodhan procedures like Virechan and Raktamokshan. Keywords: Sharad Ritu, Ritucharya, Dakshinayan. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
