STEVIA – THE NATURAL DRUG

. Abstract Stevia is made from stevia Rebudiana's dried roots and leaves, Family – Compositae, native to Republic of Brazilian and Paraguayan. Additionally, called candy, honey leaf, and sweet leaflet’s. High efficiency low calorie bio sweetner. The ten times sweeter diterpenoid glycoside that sweetener however contains no carbohydrates. Steviol is less dangerous once used as sweetner. Steviol is three hundred times more sweet than disaccharide. Stevia has several therapeutic applications like Antimicrobial, Antidiabetic drug, Anti-Hypertensive, Anti-Hyperglycemic, Anti – caries, Anti – Inflammatory, Anti-Cancer, Dairy product, Bakery Merchandise, Beverages, Antiprotozoal, Nephroprotective, Antitumor.
