PRELIMINARY PHYTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF A POLYHERBAL SIDDHA FORMULATION ATHIMATHURA CHOORANAM (AC)

Abstract

Athimathura Chooranam is one of the classical formulations of internal medicine in the Siddha system, indicated for Respiratory disease. Literature evidence for this Athimathura Chooranam is Athmaratchamirtham. Bronchial asthma is a serious global health problem. 5% to 10% of persons of all ages suffer from this chronic airway disorder. The purpose of this paper is to prove that Athimathura Chooranam contains the bioactive components which were used for Bronchial asthma (Iraippu).
