Abstract

Solubility enhancement plays a crucial role in the formulation and development of pharmaceuticals, as poorly water-soluble drugs often face challenges related to bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy. Over the years, researchers have explored various strategies to enhance drug solubility and dissolution rates, leading to improved drug delivery systems. This review article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the different approaches employed for solubility enhancement, including physical and chemical modifications, formulation techniques, and novel drug delivery systems. Additionally, the challenges and prospects in this field are discussed.
