*Dr. Khushboo Sharma, Sanju, Prof. Mahendra Sharma and Dr. Shyoram Sharma
. Abstract Marma is a Sanskrit word that means "hidden" or "secret." A Marma point is a location on the body where two or more types of tissue, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, bones, or joints, come together. Marma, or life's seat, are subtle, intelligent, and extremely powerful control points in the mind and body. Marma science is another extraordinary and dynamic science. The term "Marma" literally refers to vulnerable parts or areas of the body. Marma is the source of all life. Marma therapy, or the art of treating specific vital points on the human body, is one of the most powerful healing systems of Yoga. Otherwise, the Mind's activity obscures its true nature. Yoga is a philosophical system that, like Ayurveda, derives from the Veda. However, Yoga is a comprehensive approach to self-discovery that includes behavior, nutrition, ethics and morality, and, most importantly, meditation. We experience rest in the body as well as silence in consciousness through meditation, the mental approach to Yoga. Yoga's path leads to the self, the Atma, which is the foundation of all Marmas. Yoga helps to harmonize and strengthen the secrets of Ayurveda. The purpose of this article is to go over the important key functions of yoga asanas and their effects. Keywords: Marma, Yoga asanas, Consciousness, Healing, Mind. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
