The skin is incredibly important since it aids in immunity, prevents infection, regulates body temperature, and controls the body's water and electrolyte balance. The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin and acts as a barrier against bacteria and other pathogens. Wrinkles form and skin loses elasticity as a result of the epidermal layer thins with age. Extrinsic variables such as sun exposure, smoking, nutrition, and pollution contribute to aging just as much as hereditary factors like cellular metabolism, hormones, and the metabolic process.
