AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF KITIBHA KUSTHA (PSORIASIS) - A SINGLE CASE STUDY

. Abstract Skin disease is a most common disease in present era and its main cause are dietary and lifestyle factors like fast food, junk food, cold and soft drinks, fermented and bakery items, irregular sleep, stress etc. In Ayurveda all skin diseases are under the broad term of ‘ Kustha’ & well described its causative factors, triggering factors, preclinical & clinical presentation of the diseases with sign and symptoms and its Ayurvedic treatment for cure and prevention of recurrence of the diseases. In this case a 17 year old girl had been suffers from kitibha (psoriasis) since 8 years because of intake of junk/fast food etc. & didn’t get cure after various kind of medication including allopathic & homeopathy etc. she was treated successfully as per the principles of shodhan and shaman therapy of classical ayurveda.
