SURVEY OF AIRBORNE FUNGAL SPORES ASSOCIATED WITH ANNONA SQUAMOSA L. FRUIT PRESENT IN APMC FRUIT MARKET VASHI NAVI MUMBAI

. Abstract The present investigation was undertaken to study of aeromycoflora of APMC fruit market of Vashi, Navi Mumbai was conducted during two consecutive seasons from October to December 2021 and October to December, 2022. During this period Custard apple (Annona squamosa L.) are plentiful in the fruit market of Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The aeromycological study was performed by using gravity slide as well as petriplate exposed method with a view to correlating the spoilage of custard apple fruits in the market. Twenty seven aeromycoflora were trapped from the air over the fruit market and the Colletotrichum gloeosporiodes, Phytophthora parasitica and Fusarium sp. are the three most common causative factors of custard apple rot and subsequent loss.
