EPIDERMODYSPLASIA VERRUCIFORMIS A RARE THREAT TO HOMO SAPIENS
Chandrabhan Mourya, Prof. Sudipta Modak*, Prof. Subhamay Kumbhakar and Prof. Srijani Das Gupta
. Abstract The rare genetic condition known as epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV), you are susceptible to the constant grasp of the human papillomavirus (HPV). Get ready for a voyage filled with wart-like skin lesions as EV surprised your immune system, leaving you unable to fight off this desperate virus. As these lesions spread and pose a possibility of developing into malignant skin cancer, watch with fear. EV is not your typical illness rather, it is a mutation that exists in certain genes that are essential to the proper operation of your immune system. Even though EV is uncommon, its chronic nature means that it requires constant monitoring and care because it can lead to serious skin problems. There may be a link between persistent lymphocytopenia and abnormal inheritance. Persistent HPV infection is the hallmark of the disease's phenotype, regardless of the mechanism of inheritance. Common symptoms include reddish-brown pigmented plaques and papilloma, wart-like lesions that emerge widely across the face, hands, trunk, and upper and lower extremities. Keywords: Epidermodysplasia verruciformis, Human papillomavirus, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, Carcinogenesis, genodermatosis. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
