A SUCCESSFUL CLINICAL CASE OF DAGDA VRANA - CASE REPORT

. Abstract Acharya Sushrutha elaborately described the types clinical features, treatment principles and Upadrava (complications) of Dagdhavrana. Acharya Charaka has mentioned burn wounds as Agantuja vrana. Dagdha vrana(burn injury) and its management were also found in various treatises of Ayurveda written in different time periods. The paper is a review of types and management of the Dagdha vrana (burn injury) found in different Ayurvedic texts. In India around 7million people suffer from burn injuries each year with 1.4lakh deaths and 2.4lakh people suffer with disability. India has one of the highest incidence of burns it the world. women and children are the victims about 80%. The appropriate understanding of state and stage of burns in Diabetes along with management of Daibetes and on time assessment of the wound and intervention with appropriate Shasti upakrama provide complete wound healing with less scar.
