PHYTOCHEMICAL PHYTOTHERAPUTICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL STUDY OF FICUS RACEMOSA LINN.

. Abstract Ficus racemosa is a Southeast Asian and Australian traditional medicinal herb. It is also known as 'gular' or 'Dumur'. Because of the presence ofβ-sitosterol, it lowers blood glucose levels. Many active components extracted from various portions of this plant have beneficial pharmacological effect. The goal of this dissertation is to discover the biological activity of the roots of an indigenous medicinal plant, Ficus racemosa (Family: Moraceae), and to assess the phytochemical and pharmacological profiles of crude extracts. So far, some chemical and biological studies on this plant have been undertaken, with an emphasis on the plant's bark and root. As a result, the goal of this framework is to analyze the various possibilities for developing novel therapeutic targets from this data the fruit of this plant, which might be critical for the treatment of many diseases.
