CLINICAL STUDY TO EVALUATE THE EFFICACY OF SHWADANSHTRETYADI TAILA UTTARBASTI WITH CHANDRAPRABHA VATI AND GOKSHURADI GUGGUL IN THE MANAGEMENT OF MUTRAKRICCHRA
*Dr. Neha Kishore Mayekar and Dr. Vaibhavi Anupam Alman
. Abstract Sushrut Samhita and Charak Samhita are the foundational texts of Ayurveda. Many treatment modalities mentioned here are commonly used in disorders where modern treatment fails or shows recurrences or complications. Aacharya Charaka mentioned 13 types of Basti rogas in Trimarmiyasidhhi adhyaya from Sidhhisthana[1], which are noticed to be having vitiated Vata dosha being main causative factor, Kapha and Pitta being the covering agents, and Basti being the pramukha sthan of Apana Vaayu. In Mutrakricchra, the urinary tract can become infected with various bacteria which may lead to lethal infections. Multidrug resistance of these bacteria towards antimicrobial drugs is one of the leading problems arising in different parts of the world. Furthermore, these treatments are associated with undesired adverse effects. Thus, finding new sources of antimicrobial agents, studying effectiveness of various drugs mentioned in ancient literature is valuable and essential. Thus, the present clinical study has been conducted to study the efficacy of Shwadanshtretyadi taila Uttarbasti with Chandraprabha vati and Gokshuradi Guggul vati in the management of Mutrakricchra to overcome the vitiated Apan Vayu from Basti region using Uttarbasti of Gokshur with it’s antimicrobial properties. Keywords: Mutrakricchra, Urinary tract infection, Uttarbasti. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
