RECURRENT SINUSITIS AND AYURVEDA MANAGEMENT; A CASE STUDY

. Abstract Recent times had seen a surge in cases of recurrent nasal as well as sinus inflammatory conditions as like in sinusitis. Mainly due to lowered immunity and opportunistic viral infections has led to increase the susceptibility towards the infections. This had resulted in long standing symptoms like running nose, nasal congestion, loss of smell and taste, head heaviness, body ache etc. In accordance to Ayurveda the presenting condition can be correlated with Dushta Pinas, thus the treatment protocol can be adopted accordingly. Here a case is studied with Ayurveda treatment modality and was seen to ease the presenting symptoms. Internal use of Tribhuvan kirti Ras, Laghusoot shekhar Ras and Erand Sneha along with Nasya of Shadbindu Tail was used in present case. Keywords: Dushta Pinas, Shadbindu Tail, sinusitis, Nasya.
