Abstract

Introduction: The formulation and development of grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera) tablets represent a breakthrough in nutraceuticals, providing an efficient delivery system for the therapeutic benefits of grape seed extract. This study aims to analyze the composition, preparation methods, health benefits, and precautions associated with these tablets. The Objective is to optimize the formulation process to enhance stability, bioavailability, and efficacy while ensuring safety. Materials include grape seed extract rich in proanthocyanidins, along with excipients such as vitamin C, vitamin E acetate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, silica, and magnesium stearate. The methods involve blending raw materials under controlled conditions followed by tablet compression and coating to ensure uniformity and quality. The plan of work includes evaluating the antioxidant properties of the tablets through in vitro assays and assessing their effects on oxidative stress markers in experimental models. Expected results include improved antioxidant activity, delayed senescence, enhanced skin health through collagen protection, and potential benefits in managing diabetic cataracts by modulating biochemical pathways. Precautions regarding dosage and usage are emphasized to minimize side effects like headaches or nausea. In conclusion, grape seed extract tablets provide a portable and effective solution for harnessing the health benefits of grape seed extract. Continued research into their mechanisms of action will further validate their role as functional food supplements in promoting overall health and wellness.
