. Abstract The concept of Sattva Sara, derived from the ancient Ayurvedic system, plays a pivotal role in understanding the mind-body connection and emotional health. Ayurveda, a holistic medical tradition, posits that the mental constitution, or Manas, significantly influences an individual's overall health and susceptibility to diseases. Sattva Sara, specifically, refers to the mental essence and strength, determined by the predominance of Sattva Sara (mental purity and harmony). This literature review explores the importance of Sattva Sara as an integral part of Ayurvedic diagnostics, focusing on its role in assessing mental resilience, emotional stability, and overall well-being. Through the Sattva Sara Examination, practitioners assess an individual's mental endurance, susceptibility to stress, and capacity for emotional balance, crucial for diagnosing health conditions and creating personalized treatment plans. Individuals are classified into three levels of Sattva Sara: Pravara (high), Madhyam (moderate), and Avara (low), each indicating varying degrees of mental strength and susceptibility to illness. This review also highlights the growing integration of modern research, which seeks to standardize assessment tools for Sattva Sara, correlating it with contemporary psychological concepts like emotional intelligence and stress management. Ultimately, the examination of Sattva Sara not only aids in the diagnosis and treatment of physical ailments but also emphasizes the critical connection between mental health and overall wellness. Future research should focus on refining assessment methodologies and exploring Sattva Sara's role in managing a broader range of health conditions.
