AN ANATOMlCAL STUDY OF KRIKATIKA MARMA WITH REFERENCE TO CHALMURDHATA

. Abstract Marma is a vital point of the body where trauma or injury may cause various range of signs and symptoms. There are 107 Marma points all over the body. Krikatika Marma is one of the Sandhi marma, there are two Krikatika Marma, located at the junction of head and neck region, each of which is about 1/2 angul. Injury of this Marma exhibits Chal Murdhata. This is classified as a Vaikalyakar Marma. This study is an attempt to put forward the Vaikalyakaratva property of the Krikatika Marma by analysis of Marmaghat lakshan and establish its correlation to modern anatomical structure present at that vital point.
