THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL OF KULIKADI VATI IN VISHA CHIKITSA: A REVIEW ARTICLE

. Abstract Visha (toxic substances or poisons) can manifest in a variety of clinical presentations, ranging from subtle systemic symptoms to acute, lifethreatening conditions. The Ayurvedic branch of Agada Tantra provides a detailed account of various poisons and their management. One such classical preparation mentioned in this context is Kulikadi Vati, a polyherbal formulation praised for its potent anti-toxic, digestive, and cardioprotective properties. This article presents a comprehensive review of Kulikadi Vati, exploring its pharmacognosy, pharmacological actions, therapeutic indications, and modern interpretations. The review draws upon classical Ayurvedic texts and correlates the ingredients’ actions with modern pharmacology to establish its relevance in contemporary toxicological and gastrointestinal conditions.
