MANAGING STRESS AND ANXIETY THROUGH AYURVEDIC PRACTICES

. Abstract Lifestyle disorders are non – communicable disorders which occurs due to change in environment and lifestyle like Diabetes, Obesity, Stress, Cardiovascular disorders etc. Now in our lifestyle, there are so many stressful conditions we faced daily, like increased workload, people seem to be in hurry, they don't have time to take rest or enjoy a simple routine in their daily life that result in stress. Stress causes many harmful effects on the body such as physical impact-weight gain or loss, hair loss, heart palpitation, high blood pressure, digestive symptom like loss of appetite, dryness of mouth etc. Emotional negative effect includes mood swing, anxiety, and can lead to depression. Ayurveda plays important role in prevention as well as alleviating the symptoms of stress by adopting Ayurvedic methods like practicing Yoga, Dincharya, Rutucharya, shodhan chikitsa by Panchakarma procedures.
