FORMULATION DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF BIODEGRADABLE POLYMER NANOPARTICLES: A REVIEW
Karamveer Singh Deora*, Dr. Kamble Ravindra Keshavrao
Abstract Biodegradable polymer nanoparticles have emerged as versatile platforms in drug delivery, diagnostics, and theranostics due to their ability to improve bioavailability, reduce systemic toxicity, and provide controlled release. Recent advances in polymer science and nanotechnology have enabled the design of nanoparticles with tunable size, surface charge, biodegradation kinetics, and functionalization capacity. This review provides an in-depth analysis of the formulation approaches, critical quality attributes, evaluation methodologies, and therapeutic applications of biodegradable polymer nanoparticles. Challenges such as scalability, reproducibility, regulatory considerations, and clinical translation are also discussed, with future perspectives on integrating green synthesis, smart polymers, and nanotheranostic systems.
