Abstract

As per definition, main aim of koumarabhriya is to maintain optimum growth & development as well as nutrition (Bharana, poshana) of child. Phakka roga is a pediatric disorder which described in Kasyapa Samhita only. It is a unique disease which seen in pediatric age group only. In this condition child is unable to walk even after attaining of one year age. It seems to be growth and development delay. It occcures mainly due to improper Poshana (Nutrition), so it might be coming under kuposhana janya vyadhis. Improper formation of saptha dhatus & ojus leads the child suffering with malnutrition along with complications. So by knowing nidana (causative factors), pathophysiology, we can prevent this condition or else treat this condition according to our classic text Kasyapa samhitha.
