ULTRASONIC STUDY OF MOLECULAR INTERACTIONS IN BINARY LIQUID MIXTURES OF ACETYLACETONE WITH n- HEXANE AND n-HEPTANE USING EXCESS ACOUSTIC PARAMETERS
Krishna H. Fattepur*, Jagadish G. Baragi, Narendra B.V.
Abstract The ultrasonic velocity (u), density () have been measured at 2MHz frequency and temperature 303K for binary systems Acetylacetone with n-Hexane and n-Heptane. From the measured parameters excess parameters such as excess adiabatic compressibility (E), excess intermolecular free length E f L , excess acoustic impedance (ZE) , excess interaction parameter (E) and excess molar volume E f M have been calculated and represented as functions of molar volume of Acetylacetone. The values of uE, ZE and E are negative where as E, E f L and E m V are positive for both systems, represents there is no much interaction between unlike molecules. Keywords: Acetylacetone, n-Hexane, n-Heptane, excess acoustic compressibility, excess acoustic impedance, excess free length. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
