Abstract

ASSESSMENT OF PHYTOCHEMICAL AND HYPOLIPIDEMIC ACTIVITY OF ROOTS OF INULA RACEMOSA HOOK

Abstract

Present study deals with qualitative and quantitative phytochemical evaluation of bioactive phytochemicals of roots of Inula racemosa, a traditionally acclaimed medicinal plant. The physicochemical and phytochemical analysis including quantitative estimation of total phenolic content and TLC profiling of various extracts of roots of Inula racemosa were done by prescribed method. The hypolipidemic activity of methanolic fraction of ethanol extract was done on the rats phytochemical screening shows the presence of various phytochemicals.
