Abstract

IMPACT OF PANCHKARMA INTERVENTIONS ON NEUROMUSCULAR DISORDERS IN CHILDREN

Abstract

Neuromuscular disorders constitute a broad category of diseases that impair the function of at least one component of the motor unit. They constitute a significant proportion of Pediatric neurological diseases. In Pediatrics, the majority of these disorders have a genetic basis, either as a de novo or an inherited pathogenic variant in a single gene. Common clinical presentations in include floppy infant and muscle weakness. Older children may present with difficulty in walking, abnormal gait, enlargement of muscles or pain in muscles. With the help of different Panchkarma procedures, quality of life in these children can be improved.
