MICROPROPAGATION OF SAMANEA SAMAN (JACQ) MERR OF TIRUMALA HILLS

Abstract Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr. is important medicinal tree belongs to Mimosaceae. It could be micro propagated by Cotyledonary node explants on MS medium containing different hormones. But MS medium containing 2mg/l BAP+O.5mg/l NAA produce 6-7 multiple shoots. Regenerated shoots were excised and induce root on medium with MS+1.0 mg/l+0.5 mg/l BAP. The regenerated plants were transfer to the soil.
