Harshad Bharat Jadhav*, Dr. Amita B. Dongare, Poonam A. Thorat
Abstract This review presents an overview of the formulation and development of herbal paper soap as an eco-friendly, biodegradable alternative to traditional cleansing products. Designed for portability and sustainability, this product integrates natural plant-based ingredients with a dissolvable paper base. The selected herbal components—Aloe vera, Neem, and Sandalwood—are recognized for their antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and skin-conditioning benefits. The paper highlights phytochemical extraction methods, the functional role of each ingredient, and the preparation process. By providing a skin-safe hygiene option with minimal environmental impact, herbal paper soap meets the rising global demand for sustainable, plant-derived personal care products. Herbal soaps, often referred to as natural soaps, are formulated with botanical extracts and plant-based ingredients, offering benefits such as a pleasant aroma, antioxidant properties, skin nourishment, and environmental compatibility.[4] Keywords: Biodegradable hygiene products, Aloe vera, Neem, Sandalwood, Natural antimicrobial agents, Sustainable skincare.
